Jean Major Utilities
Jean Major wrote a lot of software to improve the performance of GEOS in the early days. One of his main programs was DBGetFiles that allowed more than 15 files to be visible in the GEOS file selection box (this is still useful for GEOS users but is a built-in feature of the Wheels Operating System). Roger Lawhorn's SuperBox was another option to add this functionality to GEOS.
Jean's GEOS Utilities Disk 1 was a commercially available product but he has moved away from the Commodore platform and released all of his software to the Public Domain when I contacted him in 1998.
There are plenty of gems on these disks that are still relevant today. All of the programs come with full documentation and there is a lot of Source Code included here as well.
And speaking of Source Code, Jean wrote a program called GeoSourcer that will create source code out of GEOS programs. This is very handy to see how programs are written and is helpful if you wish to modify a program.
