GeoWorld Magazine

GeoWorld Magazine was the first magazine produced for GEOS users, by GEOS Users. The magazine contained plenty of tips and “how-to's” from some of the pre-eminent GEOS Users of the time. People like William Coleman (programming articles), Randy Winchester (using PostScript printers), twins Peter and Paul Hughes.....

Starting with Issue #16 a bi-monthly disk was made available with PD/Shareware programs. With the release of Disk #3, coinciding with Issue #20 of the magazine, it became obvious that there would be enough material for a disk with every issue of the magazine. Beginning with issue #23 of the magazine the disk numbering was changed to match the number of the issue it accompanied.

While many of the programs contained on these disks have been superceded by newer versions or by improvements in the main Operating System (i.e. - Wheels) there are many gems in this collection that are still relevant. The collection also provides an interesting glimpse into the development of GEOS and the programming community that supported this system.
