GeoVision International

GeoVision International (GVI) sprang forth in January 1993 from the efforts of Grady Brown and a few others who previously were associated with the GeoMetrix User Group. The Magazine was a very well put together effort produced entirely within GEOS using geoPublish before it was Laser Printed. The issues had a great variety of articles on programming, GeoPaint and telecommunications along with terrific feature articles on CMD, RAM devices and Alternate Desktops. GVI showed a lot of promise (and even promised to stick around and meet all of its obligations to all subscribers) but it disappeared after only 3 issues.

Besides the 3 bi-monthly magazines we were left with three 1541 flippy disks full of Public Domain GEOS Software. These disks were released on months when there was no issue of the magazine. The disks did not follow the featured themes of the magazines but did provide a timely resource for new files.
